About the Band
Originating In the
fall of 1997, One Shot Johnny is a
three-piece blues band from south central Kentucky.
Band members Jeremiah “Machine Drum” Kelly on drums, Joe Shirley on
bass, and Randy Colvin on guitar play a mix of modern and traditional
blues: both originals and covers. The group has gigged around the
Kentuckiana region, sharing billing with such bands as Jim Diamond and
the Groove Syndicate, Steve Ferguson and the Midwest Creole Ensemble,
Big Al and the Heavyweights, Studebaker John and the Hawks, and James
Solberg Band.
The band’s first CD,“Nuthin'Tuit” came out in the spring of 2000,
and to very favorable reviews, but is now SOLD OUT!.
One Shot Johnny has since built a considerable following in the
Central Kentucky area and venturing into the city blues clubs.
The Band’s second recording effort, “Feelin Dangerous” was released in
March of 2002 and sold well, building on the bands standing as
purveyors of original blues.
One Shot Johnny's
third CD release "Give Me A Reason" came out in April of 2004 and
has been receiving local, regional, national and international airplay
on stations featuring blues, with songs like, "Someone, Somewhere" ,
"Watching Old Memories Burn" , and "Two Days Til Payday" . The band's
music has also been featured on numerous internet radio shows.
And Now, "One Shot Johnny" has their fourth CD just released,
titled "Times Like These", aptly named for times like these. It has some
of the most artistic,raw,heartfelt blues from the boys yet !
With cuts like, "She's My Everything", Your Eyes Don't Lie",
and "Scratching Up From Zero" among twelve great original songs.
So be sure to pick-up your copy, cause you don't want to miss adding
